WHAT IS THE QUALITY ASSURANCE PLAN/ INSPECTION TEST PLAN

QAP/ITP

·         It is the quality assurance plan or also known by the popular word ITP that is inspection test plan.

·         In fabrication industries after finalization of purchase order from costumer project head is taking a meeting.

·         In this meeting concern person from costumer and factory departmental persons are included.

·         This meeting is also called as kick of meeting.

·         In this meeting client discuss about their project criteria, requirements of functionality, date for delivery and other important things.

·         At that time QAP is being finalize after discussing all the required parameters.

·         QAP of most of the projects contain basic things as mentioned below.

·         All information regarding projects are comes on front page of QAP like document number, Project number, project name, client name, purchase order number, QAP made and checked by, and final approval of costumer on QAP.

PREFABRICATION DOCUMENTS

·         PIM that is pre-inspection meeting & Minutes of meeting points that have been discussed on report.

·         All drawing approval.

·         All required specifications/ data sheets for bought out item.

·         Welder qualification documents like WPS, PQR & WPQ.

·         Test procedures of Dye penetrant test, hydro test, PMI (positive material identification), blasting, painting etc.

RAW MATERIAL AND BOUGHT OUT MATERIAL

·         Raw material identification.

·         All pressure and non-pressure parts manufacturing test certificates along with its incoming material inspection report.

·         Bought out material identification.

·         All bought materials test certificates along with its data sheet.

·         Fittings, flanges, gaskets and fasteners should matches required specifications.

FABRICATION

·         Material summery chart

·         Ultrasonic test for higher thickness plates if applicable

·         Material marking and stamp transfer.

·         Weld consumable test certificates

·         Weld plan and NDT plan

·         Fit-up or set-up

·         Root run and its dye check

·         Final welding

·         Visual check

·         Dye check

·         Heat treatment if any

·         Dimensions of individual system in project.

·         PMI for stainless steel material

·         Radiography if applicable

·         Pneumatic test if applicable

·         Hydro test if applicable

·         Assembly after completion of fabrication and testing

·         Testing of equipment functionally with all bought out items.

·         Visual testing

·         Shot blasting or sand blasting

·         Galvanizing if applicable

·         Primer and painting

·         IRN from costumer

·         Packing and dispatch
